Paint Color References

The following information is provided to assist modelers.  The color information is always subject to many vagaries, including your ambient light source, age and weathering of equipment and variations within the manufacture of paint.  If you have information that can contribute to our archive, please pass it on to us by email.  For details on information requested, scroll down to the bottom of this page.

Contributions Needed!

Information should be submitted in the form of a "JPEG" file, 600 pixels x 300 pixels.  You can scan in existing color photographs, paint chips, etc.  The file name should be comprised of 8 characters as follows:

Example: Web Master scans in a color chip and creates a file on January 5th, 2000.  File is saved as 010500WM.JPG

Note, if you have multiple color samples you can included them in one common file.  Please include your name, email and telephone number in case we have additional questions.

If you have paint samples from the prototype or original paint manufacturer and do not have the facilities with which to scan and create files, drop us an email so we can coordinate assistance.
